Vincent H Pala of INC (alliance: UPA) won in this seat defeating IND. INC polled 2,09,340 of the total of 6,19,988 votes polled. INC won the seat in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
Shillong goes to the polls in the 1st phase of the 2019 General Elections to choose the 17th Lok Sabha on Thursday, April 11, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
The voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections was 63.22%.
