Chintaman Navasha Wanga of BJP (alliance: NDA) won in this seat defeating BVA. BJP polled 5,33,201 of the total of 9,92,618 votes polled. BVA won the seat in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
Palghar goes to the polls in the 4st phase of the 2019 General Elections to choose the 17th Lok Sabha on Monday, April 29, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
